Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor or Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join our expanding team (fire safety experience essential).
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious surveyor who enjoys working across a diverse range of projects and wants to help shape the future growth of a modern consultancy.
The successful candidate will undertake a mixture of building surveying and fire-related commissions, including:
- Fire compartmentation surveys and reporting
- Fire door inspections and compliance assessments
- Preparation and review of specifications and schedules of work
- Defect diagnosis and building pathology investigations
- Project monitoring and contract administration
- Liaison with clients, contractors and other consultants
- Contributing to business development and maintaining excellent client relationships
About You
Essential:
- Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS)
- Strong understanding of building construction and building pathology
- Experience undertaking fire compartmentation and fire door surveys
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple commissions
Desirable:
- Membership of IFE, IFSM or similar professional body
- Experience in project management and contract administration
- An interest in helping develop innovative services and systems
